Roxanne G. Cooligan
Roxanne practices exclusively in the area of Civil Litigation with particular emphasis on insurance disputes, catastrophic injury claims, fatal accidents and disability law. Her work includes all facets of insurance law including directors' liability insurance, comprehensive general liability insurance, property insurance and professional liability insurance. Her Trial work and significant Court rulings have involved complex insurance matters including insurance coverage disputes, accident benefits and subrogation rights. Roxanne regularly acts as counsel for colleagues in various insurance matters and has appeared as counsel in all levels of the Ontario Court.
Roxanne was a lecturer for the Bar Admissions program for a number of years and is regularly invited to speak at conferences for the Ontario Bar Association, the Carleton County Law Association, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and various not-for-profit organizations. She has written extensively on insurance-related matters. She was a Director with the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association from 2001 to 2004 and continued as an active member of its Insurance Committee to 2005.
