Robert J. Montague
Bob was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1972.
He practiced in the areas of criminal law, civil litigation and family law until 1986 at which time he restricted his practice to family law. In 1990 (the first year in which the specialist designation was granted) Bob was certified as a specialist in family law by the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Bob is a frequent speaker at family law conferences. He lectured at the Ontario Bar Admission course for 10 years. He is the co-author of a text book (with a psychologist) titled "Custody and Access Assessments" published by Carswell. Bob often sits as an arbitrator in family law cases.
In November 2006, the National Post newspaper published it's "Best Lawyers In Canada" ratings edition of Canadian lawyers. Bob was listed as one of the best lawyers in Canada in family law. He was also selected by his peers to be included in the 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 editions of the "Best Lawyers In Canada".
